Registration

We at Field have extensive experience with land registration processes, and can assist with registering various rights related to property. This could be a right of pre-emption, right of use to a parking space, right of way, tenancy rights, etc., in another person's property.

What can be registered?

• Deed – The document that transfers a property from seller to buyer
• Mortgage bond – Loan secured by property
• Rights of use – Rights such as right of way, right of occupancy, right to parking, or the right to have water and sewer pipes over the neighbor's land
• Lease agreements – Leasehold rights in buildings or land
• Sectioning decisions – Approved sectioning decisions are registered by the municipality.
• Pre-emptive rights – Agreements that give a person the right to purchase the property before it is offered to others
• Inaccessibility – Restrictions such as sales and mortgage bans

There is no requirement for a standardized layout for registering agreements or declarations of rights, but there are certain criteria that must be met in order for the Norwegian Mapping Authority to accept registration.
